The Glades Biking/Walking Trail starts at the Oakland Town Parking Lot at the Asa McCain Walking Bridge. It is a one mile, lit path, which passes by the Historic Washington Spring on the way to the Glades Town Park. At the Glades Town Park there is another one mile loop, totally 2 miles all together one way. This is a paved trail and animals are prohibited.
88 BRIDGE WALKING/BIKING TRAIL
The 88 Bridge Trail is located just off of West Liberty Street. This gravel trail was completed in early 2014. It is 7/10 of a mile (out and back). The trail takes you from the Glades Park out to the site of the 88 Bridge and prior Civil War blockhouses. The trail is lined with five historical markers explaining the role of the B&O Railroad in Garrett County and the Civil War. The trail is open during daylight hours only.
